Gigi Turbow Marx, Founding Principal

Ms. Turbow Marx is uniquely qualified as a financial planner.
Graduating from top schools, with a BA in Economics from the
University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance from Columbia
University in New York, she has worked in the capital markets
for thirty years.

As a currency advisor to corporate clients of Bank of America
and Citicorp in the late 1970s, Ms. Turbow Marx trained in risk
management from the start of her career.  After receiving her
MBA, she worked as an investment banker in public (municipal
bond) finance for the former Dean Witter Reynolds and
PaineWebber.  Gigi later had the opportunity to market Paine
Webber’s tactical asset allocation research to institutional equity
investors. She thus became an early advocate of an asset class
approach to portfolio management

After taking time off, when her daughter was born, Ms. Turbow
Marx served as Director of Investor Relations for two NYSE listed
companies. She has extensive personal experience with
executive benefits, estate planning and divorce financial planning.

Ms. Turbow Marx contributed an introduction to hedging with
options to Investing in an Uncertain Economy for Dummies
(Wiley Publishing, 2008).

Financial planning allows Gigi to bring together her wide ranging
knowledge of the financial markets, to assist those whose needs
aren’t well met by traditional planners and investment managers.
She formed Old Field Advisors LLC to help individual investors
benefit from her understanding of the many structural changes in
the markets over the past ten years.
